Huntingdon Gleaner Published: November 15, 1917
- Two Huntington lads were wounded in the fight in Flanders on 20th October, and, singular to say, both in the arms. Wm. Geo., son of William Henry Henderson of the Gore, was wounded in the right arm, and Joseph Francis, son of John O'Neill, Godmanchester, in the left arm. On the 29th October, Leonard Joseph Stone of Rockburn received a gunshot wound in the left leg and was poisoned by gas. So far as advised, all are in hospital and doing well
- Owing to an error in supplying blanks, canvassers for Victory bonds have not got right to work yet. Dr. Rowat of Athelstan has the honor of being the first to send in his report. He got $1700 on Tuesday and $2150 yesterday.
