No. VIII Field Ambulance
Authority has been granted to start recruiting for No. VIII Field Ambulance on Wednesday, January 5th, 1916. This Field Ambulance will be composed of three complete sections, each section having three Medical Officers, and will be part of the Third Division, so that instead of supplying drafts from time to time as has been done in the past by "C" Section No. 1 F.A.D., this Field Ambulance will proceed overseas as a Complete Unit.
Intending recruits should call at No. 211 Travis Building, Calgary, where full particulars may be obtained and men will be enrolled for this branch of the Service.
It might be pointed out that it is not necessary to have previous experience in medical work, but as there are always a number of applicants for the C.A.M.C., men wishing to join this new field Ambulance should make early application.
