A CANADIAN SOLDIER TELLS OF CRUCIFIXION

Regina Man Saw British Soldier So Maltreated by the Germans.

MOOSE JAW, SASK., July 14th -- E. A. West, a member of the 5th Battalion, passing through here to-night on his way to Regina, where he resides and is to recuperate, sets at rest all doubt as the the crucifying of British soldiers by the Germans.  "I helped to take down one of the British soldiers who was crucified,"  West said to a newspaper reporter.   "What regiment the soldier belonged to it was impossible to say.  He was mutilated by seventeen different wounds beyond hope of identification, but he had a British uniform on.   The body was nailed to a door by bayonets in the hands, legs and neck, the most nauseating sight I have ever witnessed."
