SHE SAW IT IN DREAM

Just At the Time That Her Husband Was Wounded.

In a dream nearly two weeks ago, Mrs. Chas. Benson of 15 Beverley street, dreamed that she saw her husband blown from a trench along with two other comrades.  He did not appear to be hurt, but merely remarked that the shell had blown them up.  Yesterday Mrs. Benson received a message from Ottawa stating that her husband, Pte. Charles Benson, had been admitted on May 4 to No. 13 General Hospital suffering from gunshot wound in the chest, slight.

Pte. Benson, formerly went overseas in 1914 with the 15th Battalion, but was taken ill in England and invalided home.   He re-enlisted with a Grenadier battalion in March, 1916, and has been in France since October.  Pte. Benson sent a small purse to his wife he picked up after the fight at Vimy Ridge containing German money, including a twenty, ten and two franc note, and various silver coins.  Pte. Benson is 25 years of age.
