Lieut. Henry John Burden, R.A.F. - "Has Downed 7 Planes"

Lieut. Henry John Burden indicated on his attestation that he was an architect.

HAS DOWNED 7 PLANES

Lieut. H. J. Burden, R.A.F.

A cable message from his famous brother-in-law, Major Bishop, reports that "Hank" Burden has bagged seven enemy airplanes.  Lieut. Burden, B.A., Sc., whose home is at 494 Avenue road, was educated at Upper Canada College, and graduated from the School of Practical Science in 1914.  He went to England with the 75th Battalion, transferred to the 11th C.M.G. Co., and served in France for eleven months.  He returned to England, joined the Royal Air Force, and returned to France as an aviator in February last.
