COMES OF MILITARY STOCK

Private Franklin Robins Well Known in Toronto is Wounded.

News has been received by Mr. Harold E. Robins, of Robins and Burden, 38 Victoria street, that Private J. Franklin Robins has been wounded in action. Before the outbreak of the war Private Robins was engaged as an accountant in Calgary, and when hostilities commenced he volunteered for service with the Calgary Rifles, 10th Battalion. He is forty years of age, unmarried, and well known in Toronto and Ottawa.

His father was Capt. Paul M. Robins of the Queen's Own Rifles, who lost his leg at Ridgeway.

His grandfather on his mother's side was Capt. Elias Snider, who years ago was a well known figure around Eglinton.

Private Robins was a member of the Queen's Own for a short term about 18 years ago, when the late major Higginbotham was his lieutenant.
