Ottawa, Dec. 18 – Canadian soldiers who died in England will be buried in single graves at the cost of the British Government which in the words of a cablegram received here, “should be privileged to undertake charge and ensure that the last resting place of Dominion soldiers may not be unworthy of their sacrifice and of the cause for which they gave their lives.” 

This information is contained in a letter which Hon. S.C. Mewburn, Minister of Militia and Defence has written to Mrs. M. McDonnell, of Maberley, Ont. Mrs. McDonnell wrote to a local paper saying that, rather than have a war memorial consisting of a building, she would like the remains of her son, who died in France, brought home and laid where she might tend his grave.
