Word from Pte. Beswetherick
The Misses Lottie and Kathleen Beswetherick are in receipt of a letter from their soldier brother, Pte. Wilbert Beswetherick, of the 42nd Battalion (Black Watch) in which he states that everything is going along well on the front lines. Private Beswetherick announces the fact that he saw quite a bunch of German infantry busy at trench work, but the distance was too far to get in touch with them. His battalion is taking its turn in trench work. It is five months since Private Beswetherick enlisted, and he tells us that the roads on the front line are worse than the roads between New Liskeard and the Casey Mines.
