Extract from “Liskeard News”
Mrs. Beswetherick has received a letter from England from her son Wilbert who arrived there on the 28th August. He is one of those joining the reinforcements for the 1st Contingent, having left Niagara-on-the-Lake with the Highlanders about the middle of August. He says they had a very pleasant voyage, lasting about twelve days. He was on the Hesperian.
