Huntingdon Gleaner Published: November 8, 1917
- Arthur Chambers, on his return from England was received by the band Sunday night. He was wounded in the left leg last spring, a bit of shrapnel breaking the kneecap. The fracture was wired and the wound has healed and tho still a bit stiff he walks with the aid of a cane. He will stay in a convalescent home until the surgeons are satisfied.
- Registrations here under the military act number 190, with only one reporting for active service and he a French Canadian, Poulin, who drives the mail to the station. His conduct is a rebuke to the shirking of duty that prevails.
