A number of European war ribbons have already made their appearance in Canada, and the proud wearers are being bombarded with questions. The ribbons, which are made of narrow stripes of the colors of the allies, are official, and every man who can show his proper discharge from any Canadian force beyond the Canadian border is entitled to wear the badge. War service metals have not been prepared yet, but one or two of those who have returned, including Private Thomas Norris, 3rd Division, have Distinguished Conduct Medals to show for their bravery. Private Norris is now aiding in the recruiting for the Queen's Own Rifles of Toronto, of which he was a member before he enlisted for active service.
There is no record of a Thomas Norris being awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal.
