From the Huntingdon notes section of the Gleaner
A young German, by the name of James Engleberg, who landed in this part of the country some time ago and now works on a farm near Huntingdon, was at the picture show Monday night. A number of young men and boys, some of whom should be fighting in the army, began snowballing this man and making insulting remarks. The result was that he took refuge in John Hunter and Sons' sheds until Chester Oney, a returned soldier, interfered and kept by him until he left in safety. Engleberg, who would become a British subject were it possible, is a decent fellow and it is a shame he should be molested. Prosecution of the leading rowdies is talked about.
