Notes

Baptized Josaphat Lapré and buried as Joseph Laprés.

Son of Joseph Laprés (deceased in 1914) and Philomène Rhéaume (deceased in 1920, three weeks after her son), of Montréal.

He was severely wounded to the chest on August 10, 1918 and was released on February 7, 1919. He died of tuberculosis a year later and his death was related to his war service.

He had stated being born in Montréal on July 12, 1892 when he enlisted.

He is commemorated as Joseph Lapré in the First World War Book of Remembrance.
