Aircraft near Dona Maria, about 6km from Sintra Aerodrome near the village of Canecas. The Wellington aircraft wreckage was spread out over a large area. The weather at the time was foggy and the hills were obscured by fog or low cloud. Was on a ferry flight from Hurn, Hampshire, England to the mediterranean area.
