Was in the Macdonald College Cadet Corps Sept 1932 to May 1933
Body was initially buried by the Germans in a communal grave in Gohre, Germany, one of the 48 airmen from 7 aircraft shot down in the vicinity. 32 were subsequently identified in 1948, Flying Officer William Douglas Hayter was not one of them. He was reinterred in the Berlin 1939-1945 War Cemetery in a collective grave.
