Shot down in an air raid over Scheinfurt, Germany on the night of 26 April, 1944 or early morning of 27 April 1944 On the night of 27 April 1944 an aircraft in flames passed over the village of Bure, France and crashed in flames. 5 remains were found in the crash, 4 identified. 2 men (possibly) survived by parachuting from the burning plane.
