She married on 25 Dec. 1920 Dr. Charles Lightfoot Roman whom she had known while they both served in the Canadian General Hospitals in France. They lived in Valleyfield, QC and had five sons. Dr. Roman had only completed three years of his medical studies so he was an orderly.
