The attached photograph is of a grave marker placed in Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton, Ontario. The date of death is 1925. These crosses were placed throughout the cemetery next to the graves of war dead or war veterans, possibly as part of a special project to ensure that these graves stand out. Most were placed next to an actual stone marker from the family, or next to an official Commonwealth War Graves Commission marker.
In the case of Nursing Sister Page, there was no visible stone marker, only this cross. It is possible that the actual grave was unmarked until this cross was placed as not everyone purchased a stone marker. Or, that the original grave marker has been lost.
Further research is required to locate a corresponding attestation for this individual.
