For example, this page for a diary entry dated April 17th, 1916 reports "The next addition to the Staff was the transfer of five Nursing Sisters who at once took over the organization of the ward equipment. These Ladies were Nursing Sisters, J. A. McNulty, W. Dowding, M. Ashley, A. E. Gregory, and V. A. Sewell, and they also took over the work of stamping, and sewing in silk the name of the Hospital on all linen that had to that time been delivered."

Nursing Sister Marguerite Ashley has returned from service overseas and will be the guest of her sister, Mrs. H. E. Livingstone, 17 Edgar avenue, for a while. Nursing Sister Ashley has seen over three years' service in France and England, having gone overseas with Queen's College unit early in 1916.
