Service Biography

Joichaim Soucisse was born at Howick, Quebec, on 26 April 1895. A farmer living at Ormstown, Quebec, he was called up under the Military Service Act in 1918 and served in Canada as Private 3167530 with the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment. He was discharged at Montreal on 27 January 1919 on Farmer's Leave.

His Casualty Form and Last Pay Certificate record that his service reckoned from 17 July 1918. His Particulars of Recruit was completed at Montreal on 17 August 1918, and he underwent a Military Service Act medical examination there on 21 August 1918, when he was placed in Category A2. He was discharged at Montreal on 27 January 1919 on Farmer's Leave.
