Son of Joseph Ford and Mary Jessica Ford (nee Dalgleish); older brother of Eric Allan Ford (Service No. 110167) and Thomas Brian Bailey Ford (Service No. 3280350)

William's younger brother #110167 Cpl Eric Allan, Ford also served with the PPCLI. Both brothers were killed on the same day, fighting in the trenches of Sanctuary Wood.

Only logical candidate for Ford w. d. from Charles Lamb list of WW1 veterans from Huntingdon, but no way to tie him to the area. One possibilty is that he was in the area as a teacher. No mention of him in the Huntingdon Gleaner for July 1916
