Started to work at - 19 yrs. old.
3 yrs. as Cardider at Montreal Cotton Ltd.
1 yr. as unskilled labour for Shawinigan Water & Power Co.
Was working at Marine Industries Ltd., Valleyfield at time of call up
Lacroix is a single man of 26 yrs. old - has medium built and is smart in appearance. Lacroix has good education - is polite and well mannered.
He is sorrwhat shy and nervous but seems well adapted to the army life.
This man is the eldest of a 3 children family, has been always living in a good harmonious home with parents.
Pather an electrician and mother died - 4 yrs. ago.
This man seems sociable, has many friends - both sexes.
Spent his tine with them, playing bowling - tennis.
This man likes movies - good reading and quiet life at home.
Drinks and smokes very moderately.

Additional Service Notes

Died of a vehicle accident while in service in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Cause of death was fracture of skull.
12 Jun 44. on Cole Harbour road, N.S. in the vicinity of Breakheart Hill. Pte. Lacroix was riding as a passenger in a carrier. At the time this carrier was on an all -day scheme. While proceeding along the road at 20 MPH the carrier started to slip in the gravel. It swung to the left and skidded two or three feet. The left side of the carrier came off the road and the carier turned over. Driver and five rassengers, including Pte. Lacroix, were caught underneath the carrier.
D.472586, Pte.. Lacroix R. sustained a crushed skull and died instantly.

Of the 6 in the carrier. Pte. Lacroix and one other died.
The vehicle suffered $28.00 of damages.
